As I was discussing the attributes of the vessel on board, our captain arrived, started the engines and single-handedly let go of the lines and manoeuvred us off the berth with little apparent effort and in a very controlled manner. In no time at all we were approaching the Heads, cruising at around 25 knots and nosing into a 2 m swell. The boat rode the swell extremely smoothly, with no adverse pitching or any hint of slamming. Manoeuvres hard to port and hard to starboard were smooth and responsive, with little reduction in vessel speed and a reasonably tight turning circle. Beam onto the sea and at 25 knots, the vessel remained remarkably stable with little rolling motion. Down below, there was low noise from the engines or from the sea, with the exception of some inevitable external water noise in the forward stateroom. Vibrations and rattling of any sort were non-existent. Overall motion comfort below was excellent and a testament to the design of the vessel and its hull form. Additional items provided with the vessel includes cutlery, crockery and glassware, interior towels, quilted bed spreads, deck equipment and owners manual, making this a truly "turnkey" sales service. Part of the service provided by R Marine includes full after-sales support, warranty, and training for the owner, family and crew in the general maintenance and operation of the vessel.
