Fremantle based Seagreen Marine has been appointed the WA distributor of Princess Motor Yachts and Jeanneau Motor and Sailing Yachts. Mr Watkins, Director of Seagreen Marine, is a Princess Yacht owner himself and was well aware of the quality and features of these luxury European yachts. Consequently, Mr Watkins wanted to be on board to take up the distribution in Western Australia. Demand and interest have been extremely positive in Western Australia so far, with Seagreen Marine importing a new 61ft Princess flybridge cruiser already. While there are a few Princess yachts in WA currently, this will be the first time in the 40 year history of Princess that a new yacht will be directly imported into the state. 'It's a nice problem to have, and with these orders we now have the confidence to go to the next step. Our policy has been to grow slowly and not to become a sausage factory where every boat is exactly the same. We are happy dealing with a limited number of customers who want their individual requirements catered for. We have the room to expand and a forward plan that is now underway' said Per Andresen, director of Kingfisher Cruisers. Current export sales include New Zealand and Hong Kong. So with a full order book until mid 2007, a growing dealer network, overseas sales and a very desirable product, 'Kingfisher is in full flight!
